I like to write about questions that come up during the work week. The other day I met with a new client who had a terrific idea for a product. She wanted to use social media to promote her business and sell her product.
“Is social media a part of your marketing plan?” I asked her. She admitted she didn’t have a marketing plan.
The sad truth is most small business owners don’t have a marketing plan. (Note for the picky: a marketing plan is part of a business plan. A lot of business owners don’t have either one.)
The cool thing is, once you take the time to create a marketing plan that fits your objectives and your budget, marketing is no longer the dreaded activity most people think it is.
